Brooks' First Basketball Game!
Brooks' first game was this morning. He did great! He had 8 baskets, quite a few steals, and he passed some too! :-)
He wanted a "mean" picture!

The next three are on the tail end of some of his shots. I wasn't quick enough! :-)
Finding the open lane to drive (even past his own teammates, one that is still playing defense)!
This is the funniest picture. We have quite a few young kids on our team that struggle with knowing if they are on offense or defense. They often react as if the ball is a bomb. Anyway, this is right after Brooks made a basket. He turned and ran back on defense. You can see the rest of his teammates haven't quite made the transition and Josh is trying to yell "get back, get back". This pic sums up part of the experience! :-)

New Year's Eve
My best friend from college, Annie, her husband Travis, and their daughter Kaitlyn came to stay with us for New Year's. Brooks had a great time playing with Kaitlyn. I was due two weeks before Annie with Sweet Pea, so it was a little sad seeing Brooks with Kaitlyn. However, we had a blast! Not quite like our college days since we stayed at home, ate appetizers, and a watched a movie. But fun for us old folk! The next day we went to Fritz's and Kaitlyn had the time of her life. She was screaming and trembling every time a train came by. It was adorable!
